10-Post Series: “Why HELP Must Be Built in Phases”
Post 5: Phase Four — Clearing and Infrastructure
Before a park can fully function, basic infrastructure must be established.
This phase may include:
- Clearing brush
- Creating access roads
- Establishing trails
- Installing utilities
- Water systems
- Fencing
- Storage areas
- Equipment access
- Parking areas
- Safety preparation
This stage may not look exciting from the outside.
But infrastructure is what allows future phases to succeed.
Without roads, trails, water access, and safe working conditions, development becomes difficult.
This phase creates the framework for everything that follows.
Strong infrastructure creates long-term stability.
